On June 16th, the 5th and final FARMER'S FILTHY 5 race will raise money for local GSSD schools.
The Farmers Filthy 5 is a fun 5-kilometer obstacle course race that begins and ends at Rawhides restaurant in Stenen, SK. The fun and filthy course leads participants on an entertaining footslog around the town of Stenen, across prairie fields and though some muddy terrain. Along the way, participants will try their hand at some farm chores like mud pit crawls, tire lifts and grain bag throws.
The race is designed for people of all ages and fitness levels. There is even a scaled back course for little tykes. Participants can enter as individuals or in teams of (2-6). Racers can walk, run or even crawl - the race is just for fun!
As this is the 5th and final year of the race, proceeds will be given to schools in our area (Canora Composite School, Kamsack Comprehensive Institute, Norquay School, Sturgis School and Preeceville School) and the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital. Upon registration, participants will be able to select which organization they want to support and the proceeds will be split based on the percentage of votes. This is a way to way to give back to the local communities in the area and challenge students, staff and community members to a filthy and fun-filled fundraiser for GSSD schools.
