The students in Computer Science 20 & 30 started the new year by building two new computers from scratch. Mathew Scherle led the first part of the project by researching the components and preparing an order from an online supplier. Once the parts arrived, Mat and Noah Fayant each gave leadership to the assembly of one computer. These computers are using high-end components so will be excellent for gaming and other demanding tasks. The computers being purchased by two of the students in class at cost price, so the school did not incur any costs for this activity.
