Course Description

Environmental Science is a course designed to develop environmental awareness and appreciation that will help to foster attitudes that will allow for a sustainable future. Students will explore local and global environmental issues and how human actions and populations play a role in those issues, and in turn, how those issues affect human health. ​

Units of Study

Module 1 -  The Interdisciplinary Field of Environmental Science (2 weeks)

Module 2 - Terrestrial Ecosystems (4 weeks)

Module 3 -  Aquatic Systems (3 weeks)

Module 4 - Atmospheric Systems (3 weeks)

Module 5 -  Human Population (3 weeks)

Module 6 -  Student Directed Research Project (3 weeks)
