The Board of Education and Senior Administration of Good Spirit School Division
is inviting applications for the position of Superintendent of Human Resources.

Located in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, the Good Spirit School Division provides educational opportunities to approximately 6,000 students operating 27 schools in 15 communities
throughout East Central Saskatchewan.


The Board of Education is seeking an inspirational leader, who will be an integral member of the administrative council and senior leadership team.

The position calls for a highly skilled and experienced educational leader to lead the school division’s human resource function and fulfill the strategic priorities of the school division. The Superintendent of Human Resources must be committed to meaningful engagement with staff, education partners, and Indigenous communities. Always representing the school division in an ethical, positive, and professional manner, the Superintendent assists the Director in fulfilling the general and specific aspects of their responsibilities as defined in the Education Act, 1995 and Board Policy. Applications are invited from candidates who:

  • Possess an undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Education, Business Administration, or related discipline).
  • Possess a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation or equivalent HR certification.
  • Have significant experience in human resources management, including working with Boards, in government-funded environments, and with both unionized and non-unionized labor groups.
  • Demonstrate a successful track record in contract negotiations, managing labor disruptions, strategic planning, leading teams, and reporting to Boards. Assets for this position include:
  • Experience in a pre-K-12 educational environment or equivalent human resources experience in a corporation.
  • Eligibility for LEADS membership.
  • Prior demonstrated success at the executive level of a public post-secondary institution or similar organization.
