Anara's Bio...

Anara Morrison is a grade 10 student at the YRHS. Her CSLC journey started when she was in grade 8 after applying for a leadership team at the Regional. Anara’s roots come from her family and friends, who inspired her to believe in herself which ultimately helped her to make the decision to apply for this certain team. Their endless support have done nothing but help her and push her to be the best version of herself each and everyday. Some of her hobbies include playing the YRHS basketball team, Yorkton United Soccer Club, and creating memories with her friends and family.  Her athletics help her realize that opportunities to be a leader are everywhere as long as you have the right group of people and a positive mindset. Anara’s organization skills help her complete projects with little frustration, and also her social skills make it easy for her to meet and work with anyone who crosses her path. She continues to be nourished and grow by taking part in the SRC Leadership class in our school, and through her love of athletics.  After her application to be a spirit leader was accepted for our own 2020 conference her eyes opened to a world of possibilities. Being a Spirit Leader lead her to have had the privilege to attend CSLC 2018 in Edmonton, where she realized her true passion for leadership and teamwork. She continues to be nourished and grow by taking part in the SRC Leadership class in our school, and through her love of athletics. Anara truly blossomed into who she is as a leader when she was chosen to be one of the Student Co-Chairs for CSLC 2020. Knowing the tasks and responsibilities that this position would take, she was and continues to be ready for whatever is thrown at her. She takes time to harvest her potential by never forgetting where she came from and how much she has grown over the past few years. She is always humbled and appreciative when looking back to see how far she has come and where she has yet to go. Anara is ecstatic to bring the conference back home to its own roots, and cannot wait to see all the hard work turn into great memories and accomplishments!
